Stacked Valentine Hearts slot REVIEW

Stacked Valentine Hearts ReviewWhether or not we actually need a Valentine’s Day outside of the US is still up for debate in this reviewer’s mind, and it’s even more questionable if we need slots dedicated to this syrup-sugary sentimental “tradition”. Stacked Valentine Hearts is a game that will be played maximum 1 day per year (if even that), kind of like a broken clock that’s correct 2 times a day.

It all depends on which game’s the casinos pick for their Valentine promos, but we much prefer the original Stacked Fire 7s to this pinkish reskin job. Cynical hearts might go with the Christmas version instead though, due to the higher potential. Overall, Inspired Gaming has done very little to win over any new players here, except for those who happen to love this 14th of February “special day”.

Stacked Valentine Hearts Features

The game’s wild symbol is hard to miss, with its pinkish background and the word “wild” spelled with bold golden type. It will land on the 3 middle reels only, and step in for all regular pay symbols both in the base game and during the bonus round.

This game is really all about the bonus round however, just like the original title. You trigger the feature when you land 3 heart scatters on reels 1, 3 and 5, and this gives you 8 free spins. During the bonus round, you will only land wilds, as well as the 3 top-tier premium symbols (golden, red and pink double hearts).

There is another way into the free spins however, and that is through the Gamble feature. Whenever you land a base game win of at least 5x your stake, you can choose to gamble your winnings. You can either increase your payout by up to 3x via the gamble wheel on the left, or you can gamble to win free spins on the right-hand side gamble wheel.

The Gamble Wheels come with red and green segments, and you need to land on the green segment to win. The segments will reflect your true winning chances, and they change according to your chosen bet level. The minimum you can gamble for is 5 free spins, and if you land on the red segment you lose everything you staked. You can win up to £250,000 this way, or up to 30 free spins at the most.

The 200 Spins Stacked Valentine Hearts Experience

We landed a 6x win after a while of base game grinding, and we decided to try our luck on the free spins gamble feature. Our chances weren’t that high, but we managed to land on the green segment anyway. This gave us 5 free spins, and we got away with a pretty solid total win from the bonus round. You can check it all out in the 2-minute highlights video below.

Review Summary

Unlike the Christmas version, which came with a significantly higher potential, this Valentine’s version of Stacked Fire 7s is a pure reskin job. The mediocre 2,500x potential will probably not melt too many cynical gambler hearts out there, especially when you factor in the somewhat brutal volatility you have to deal with in Stacked Valentine Hearts.

Nothing too much happens in the base game except the occasional wild win. This makes it very tempting to gamble every win you land to get some sorely needed extra free spins between the organically triggered bonus rounds (which are few and far between). It’s best to keep this urge in check if you want to survive in the long run here, and only gamble when you have a fair chance at actually winning.

If you enjoy Stacked Valentine Hearts you should also try:

Stacked Fire 7s - was Inspired Gaming’s first title in the Stacked series, and the math model and features are exactly the same as in the game at hand. The fruit machine theme has a broader appeal however, and the game comes with a masculine touch that’s now been well balanced out by this feminine Valentine’s version.

Santa Stacked - is the Holidays season reskin of the original game, but Inspired has, for some reason, decided to up the potential in this version. You can win up to 4,166x your stake here, but other than that it’s pretty much the same game except for the theme.

Lucky Valentine - is a “romantically inclined” title from Red Tiger, and it plays out on 5 reels with 20 win ways. You can look forward to medium/high variance action here, with bonus games, free spins feature, multipliers and plenty of wilds.
