Book of Sam follows the charming creatures on their holiday to Las Vegas, and the neon-infused setting is far more engaging than the forest and beach settings in predecessor installments. You really feel like you’re going with them on the trip thanks to the immersive intro and visuals, and it’s a joy to see what can be done with the Egypt theme with a bit of imagination added to the mix.

ELK is, quite literally, going to town with the cliches this overused theme usually displays, and the troll kids seem to enjoy the artifacts in their own special way. You get 3 different troll modifiers in all stages of the game at random times, and they hit more often in the expanding symbols bonus round. Up to 3 symbols can expand from the get-go, and up to 5 is possible. The 10,000x potential is twice the average for the ‘book of’ genre, but the top-tier 94 % RTP is sadly a deal-breaker for many players.
